Welcome to today’s reflection — a pause, a breath, and a return to the basics.

How is your Advent going?

I’ve written many times that Advent is a time of waiting, but I seem to be struggling with it this year. Finding a space to stop and pause is difficult with the demands of the season upon us. There are presents to buy (I know, a bit late), food to order and family arrangements to firm up.

So what does it mean to ‘wait’? Is it to take an enforced stop? Maybe it is just getting back to basics and focusing on the fundamental things that bring life itself. Things that connect us to the God who created us.

Today, I am attempting to bring it back to one simple thing: Breathing.
