Sacred & Secular explores the thin, shifting space where faith meets ordinary life. The lines between the sacred and the everyday are rarely as clear as we pretend. Most of us live somewhere in the blur, asking questions, feeling our way through mystery, doubt, beauty, and quiet moments of grace.

I write from Suffolk in the United Kingdom, with one eye on the church and the other on the world beyond it. Both still belong to God. Both still echo with ancient stories and modern longings. Both continue to surprise me.

I write with my constant companion, Hank, who never leaves my side.

For many years, I served within the Church of England. Now, I write full-time, exploring faith from a slightly different vantage point — one shaped by both experience and ongoing questions, holding together belief and doubt, tradition and change, the sacred and the ordinary.

This publication is a place to pause.

To think.

To breathe.

To ask the questions you’ve never had permission to ask out loud.

To find faith in unexpected places.

Whether you would call yourself certain, curious, sceptical, hopeful, drifting, returning, or somewhere in between, you are welcome here.
